TUPAS is a stylish headband made from surplus peat wool. The knitted headband is an easy and relaxed go-to accessory for autumn and winter. The yarn consists of 50% surplus peat yarn and 50% acrylic yarn. The peat yarn we use is remnants from the Finnish Kultaturve company, which operated in the 90s, and we rescued it when the company ceased operations. Since peat yarn on its own is not strong enough, we add acrylic yarn to it.CARE INSTRUCTIONSRegularly air out the peat wool product, which also extends the washing interval. However, if the product needs washing, we recommend hand washing. Shape the product to its correct form while damp, as peat yarn may change shape during washing. For example, a beanie should be stretched to its correct size while damp.
